The layered arrangement hides future matching options beneath current tiles. Clearing a level combines short-term bar management with a plan for exposing the icons still underneath.

Do not uncover tiles faster than you can match them
The goal is to clear all tiles from the board by matching three identical ones. Tap any visible tile to move it into the collection bar at the bottom. The bar can hold up to 7 tiles. When three tiles with the same icon are in the bar, they will be automatically removed, clearing space. If the bar fills up with non-matching tiles and you cannot make another set, the game is over. Plan your sequence carefully, especially when dealing with layered tiles that hide others underneath.

Look for the third copy before adding a new icon type to an already crowded bar. Consider which tiles a removal will uncover as well as the icon you are collecting now.
